A picnic in the park - recipes

With the weather being at its peak, spending as much time outdoors as possible is the best way to pass a lazy summer afternoon. Who doesn’t love exploring some parks, soaking in the sun and snacking on some delicious picnic foods? That is exactly why we have put together some of our favorite picnic recipes that are easy, delicious, and perfect to share with friends! Let’s start with a few snacks - how about these delicious looking mediterranean skewers?

The great thing about these is how simple they are to make: All you need to do is stacking the different parts onto long wooden skewers, pack them into your picnic bag end enjoy!

The ingredients are:

  • Green and black olives

  • Grape Tomatoes

  • Basil and fresh spinach

  • Pre-cooked cheesy Tortellini

  • Your favorite smoked ham or salami

  • Baby Mozzarella balls

  • Salt & Pepper

Something you can prepare beforehand and easily take to the park is this delicious vegan pasta salad. it is easy to make, since all you need to do is boil the pasta and mix together the rest of the ingredients. What you need is:

  • Grape Tomatoes, halved

  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped

  • fresh Cilantro, chopped

  • Garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano

  • ½ red onion, chopped

  • Black olives

  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

  • ⅓ cup of olive oil

  • red pepper, salt & pepper

and of course the pasta!

With these two dishes prepared, you have a great base for a lovely picnic in the park. Bring along some sandwiches wrapped in brown paper to keep them fresh, as well as some cheese, fruit and drinks, and you are all set for your perfect summer’s day in the park!
